The driver of a car who had claimed he hit a motorcycle by accident was charged with murder today after police found he had aggressively chased the motorcyclist for two kilometers before hitting the motorcycle from behind. The driver of the car, surnamed Wu, 39 years-old, called 119 after the motorcycle he hit went down and the rider smashed into a concrete utility pole. A teppanyaki cook who was released on bail after a vicious knife attack on a police officer in Banciao yesterday was re-arrested this afternoon, and will remain in custody. A woman lost a finger and narrowly escaped with her life when her ex-husband attacked her with a brush-hook in Ilan County this afternoon, Friday, July 22.
