Woman Decapitated in Kaohsiung
A 52 year-old mentally-ill woman was decapitated by her 54 year old brother on a busy street in Kaohsiung this morning.
At around 9:30am, the woman surnamed Lin tried to leave the house. Her brother tried to prevent her leaving and an altercation ensued.
United Daily News reported that witnesses said Ms Lin kneeled and begged for forgiveness as Mr Lin wielded the chopper. Ms Lin even kowtowed. But Mr Lin grabbed her by the hair and chopped her neck until her head came off.
Passers-by screamed in panic as Ms Lin’s head rolled across the blood-splattered sidewalk and came to rest under a parked car.
Mr Lin then returned to his house. Police found him on the third floor, in a calm and stable mood. Mr Lin explained that his sister was intellectually disabled and their parents had died young. Mr Lin had cared for his sister for 30 years.
This morning, Ms Lin had an appointment to see a doctor at a hospital clinic. However, Ms Lin had a history of resisting going to the hospital, and she had tried to go out to avoid the hospital visit.
