A female Canadian exchange student was rescued by firefighters after crashing down a 9 meter slope on a mountain road near Sun Moon Lake yesterday, May 9. The 20-year-old woman was riding with friends on rented bikes, when she left the road on a downhill curve and plummeted onto a concrete pump station platform, according to reports in Liberty Times, and United Daily News.
