Man’s leg Crushed after Bus Driver Leaves Door Open

A man suffered open fractures to his left leg after falling out of a bus in Linkou District, New Taipei City, today, Saturday, April 14.

Mr Lin, 22, boarded the 1120 bus bound for Sanchong District, on Renai Road in Linkou, at around 3:00pm this afternoon. Video monitor footage shows that while Lin was preparing to pay the fare, the bus driver hit the throttle without closing the door. Lin stumbled, and fell out of the bus.

Firefighters called to the scene of the accident found Lin stuck under the right front wheel of the bus with a severely injured left leg.

After being rushed to Chang Gong Memorial Hospital for emergency medical treatment, doctors declared that Mr Lin’s life was not in danger.
