A man is suspected of deliberately crashing a stolen truck into a police station, killing one officer and injuring another, before running onto railway tracks and being fatally hit by a train in Keelung City late last night.
According to reports, a 34-year-old man, named Jian, stole a truck from the Aodi Fishing Port in Gongliao District. At 10:00 pm, Jian crashed the truck into the Badu Police Station in Nuannuan District at high speed, hitting two police officers.
Jian then abandoned the truck and fled the scene of the crash.
A 24-year-old male officer named Hsu was crushed between the truck and the rear wall of the police station. Hsu lost vital signs at the scene, and was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead around 30 minutes after arrival.
A 24-year-old female police officer named Liao suffered minor injuries including bruises to her legs and forehead.
A short time after the crash, Jian was hit by a train at a level crossing around 1.3 kilometers from the police station. Jian died at the scene of the accident and he was not sent to hospital.
According to the investigation so far, traffic monitor footage and footage from the truck’s dashcam showed that Jian accelerated and drove the truck into the police station at high speed. It is suspected that the incident was a deliberate attack.
Police Commissioner Huang Ming-chao went to Keelung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to express condolences to Hsu’s family. Huang said that he was heart broken and sad over the incident, and requested the Keelung City Police Department to clarify the motive for the crime as soon as possible. Huang condemned the crime as heinous and unforgivable.
Police Commissioner Huang also said that according to the preliminary investigation, the suspect had sought treatment recently after suffering auditory hallucinations. The suspect also had a history of drug abuse and aggressive tendencies.
Jian’s mother told media that her son had been suffering from hallucinations and auditory hallucinations. In early February his family took him to a psychiatric hospital for treatment and Jian was taking medication to control his condition. At around 8:00 pm last night, Jian suddenly started yelling then ran out of the house in his underwear.

Looned out? Drugged up? Maybe this, maybe that, maybe something entirely different. Like “mind control” from experimental 5G activation of a chip or other implanted or injected matter. We’ll never know because no researcher or investigator will dare to think out of the box and look beyond the usual “safer” assumptions.
