Taiwanese students holding banners protesting the use of the name “Chinese Taipei” for the Taiwanese team were kicked out of Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium yesterday, August 31, after a confrontation with an angry spectator and officials. Tainan’s Electric Buses Not as Environmentally Friendly as You Think

Taiwan’s Ministry of Education website is unavailable at the time of writing due to a hack by a group calling themselves ‘Anonymous Asia’. The English language version residing on the subdomain http://english.moe.gov.tw/ appears to be operating as normal. The ministry’s information division has stated that the hacks began Friday July 31, with another wave of attacks on August 1.
