A veterinarian at a wildlife first aid station in Nantou County yesterday, made painstaking efforts to rescue a huntsman spider from a sticky rat trap. Eventually, the Heteropoda venatoria, also known as the giant crab spider, or cane spider, was freed of its predicament using flour, salad oil, cotton swabs, and a lot of patience.
