A woman armed with a knife grabbed another woman as hostage and threatened to harm her if staff didn’t hand over the cash at a post office in Hsintien, New Taipei City, today. Post office staff complied and put NT$170,000 into a paper bag. Before the would-be robber could take the cash, however, members of the public surrounded her and overpowered the woman.
