Driver Causes Paint Spill then Drives Away: 3 Injured

Three scooter riders in Kaohsiung yesterday required hospital treatment after slipping on paint spilled on the road. The driver of the truck who left the scene after the paint spill will be fined for failing to deal with the spill.

Four 20 liter buckets of white paint fell off the back of the truck. The driver picked the buckets up and put them on the sidewalk before driving away. The driver told police that he didn’t know how to deal with the problem.

Police said that in such situations, the driver should call 110 so that police can come and direct traffic while a clean-up crew is dispatched to deal with the problem.
