Canadian Man Found Dead in Taipei Hotel

A 46 year-old Canadian man was found dead in a hotel in Wanhua District at around 9:00pm, November 8, 2016.

Firefighters who responded to a report found the man in bed with his head covered with a plastic bag. A suicide note was found beside the body.

Investigators said that when the body was found, rigor mortis had already set in.

The man had been staying at the hotel, which is located on Xining South Rd, since sometime last month. Police are continuing investigations. The relevant authorities are trying to make contact with the man’s family.
