Four people were injured, two seriously, after a driver ran a red light and plowed into pedestrians crossing the road outside the Jingan Metro Station in New Taipei City’s Zhonghe District this evening, July 1. According to SETN, a 51-year-old male named Huang, driving a Mitsubishi sedan, hit one man and four women on the zebra crossing at around 7:30 pm. A 79 year-old driver crashed his car in a crowded market street in New Taipei City’s Zhonghe District, hitting multiple vehicles including 2 cars, 7 motorcycles and a bicycle, leaving 1 dead, one seriously injured, and 12 with lighter injuries.
