Nine people are confirmed dead, and one remains missing, after a fire sent smoke billowing through a hospital in Pingtung County, Taiwan, this morning, Thursday, October 3. Pingtung County Fire Department received reports of a fire at the Antai Tian-Sheng Memorial Hospital in Donggang Township at 7:40 am. Content of Article: Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration issued a land alert for Typhoon Krathon at 2:30 am Monday morning, as the storm approached the southern tip of the island, threatening communities in southern and eastern coastal and mountain areas. Central Weather Administration Report The CWA said that at 11:00 am, Monday, Krathon was located 210 kilometers south-southeast of Taiwan’s southernmost point, Point Eluanbi, moving northwest at around 9 kilometers per hour, and expected to slow to 5 kilometers per hour.
