Up to ten air-force personnel at a base in Taichung have returned positive reactions for drugs, after urine tests were ordered for all troops stationed on base yesterday. The drug tests were ordered after 27 packs of white powder were found discarded on the Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, along with a device for smoking drugs. Eighteen homes were razed to the ground, November 21, in Taichung County’s Tanzi District, after a fire broke out on the second floor of one of the residences. Updated 22:00 July 29 A moving truck, carrying live fish was destroyed when an 800 liter liquid oxygen cylinder, associated with the fish tank exploded. The accident happened at 6.30 AM this morning on a busy road in Taichung. The driver of the truck suffered 2nd degree burns to 20 percent of his body.
