Driver makes unorthodox freeway exit directly from the fast lane

A video that went viral on social media today shows the driver of a Mercedes Benz make a drifting 360 degree spin across four lanes of National Highway 1, into an offramp lane, and it is not known whether it was accidental or executed on purpose.

According to the date stamp on the video, the incident occurred at midday, Monday, October 11. The weather at the time was pouring rain to the point where it is possible that the vehicle aquaplaned while travelling in the fast lane.

Whether the cause was accidental or on purpose, the driver showed great skill in keeping or regaining control of the vehicle, even managing to flash his headlights at oncoming traffic as the vehicle spun 360 degrees.

Some of the more than 150,000 readers who viewed the video on social media praised the driver’s skills, while others expressed the hope that the driver had brought a spare pair of underwear.

Taiwan’s various media outlets, including this one, quickly grabbed the video to put it on their own channels for exploitation.
