3 dead after two cars collide and burst into flames in Tainan City
Firefighters found the remains of three people after extinguishing fires that consumed two cars after a collision in Tainan City early this morning, June 3.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Tiajiang Boulevard and Haidian Road at 4:10 am to find two cars consumed by flames.
One vehicle was a McLaren 570S sports car, and the other a Mazda SUV. The driver of the McLaren is believed to be a 29-year-old man named Hou, and in the Mazda was a 65-year-old man and his 49-year-old wife, both surnamed Chen.
Police investigators said that traffic monitor cameras were too far away to clearly record the accident, and the seriously burned remnants of the vehicles also make the investigation into the cause of the accident difficult.
Speed is suspected to be a contributing factor in the accident.
