23 post-vax deaths added over the weekend bringing total to 507

Twenty-three fatal cases following vaccination were added to the reporting system between July 23 and 25, the youngest being a 26-year-old man, according to Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) today, Monday, July 26.

CECC spokesperson Chuang Jen-hsiang said that the 26-year-old suffered from a rare disease. Five days after vaccination family members found him without vital signs. A local health clinic said the cause of death was respiratory failure.

Of the 23 new death cases, 15 had received the AstraZeneca vaccine, including six males and nine females aged 26 to 95, and the deaths occurred between one day and 45 days after vaccination. Another eight cases, including four males and four females aged 64 to 89, had received the Moderna vaccine and died between three days and 21 days after vaccination.

The CECC said that around 280,000 people had been vaccinated July 24-25, of which 270,000 received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 12,991 people received the Moderna vaccine.

The total number of people vaccinated so far has reached 6,674,129 which is around 27.39% of population.

So far, 507 deaths have been reported following vaccination, consisting of 241 females and 266 males who died between the day of vaccination and 58 days after. Among the fatalities, 444 had received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 63 were vaccinated with Moderna.

While the 26-year-old man who recently died counted as the youngest fatality following vaccination, the youngest on the fatal adverse event reporting system is a two-month old breastfed baby who died within 24 hours of her mother receiving a vaccination.

The weekend of July 24-25 also saw 95 serious adverse events reported following vaccination.

According to information released by the CECC, and reported by SETN, serious adverse events following the AstraZeneca vaccination included suspected stroke, myocardial infarction, Pulmonary embolism, low platelets, low neutrophils, septic shock, heart failure, acute gastroenteritis, cellulitis, swelling and lymphadenopathy at the inoculation site, dermatitis, allergic reactions (systemic urticaria, red and swollen eyes, red Rash, breathing problems), general malaise, dizziness, fever, headache, blurred vision and chest pain, left eye subconjunctival bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding, hypotension and shock, vasculitis, intraoral Blisters and thrombocytopenia, cramps and thrombocytopenia, chest pain, dyspnea, enteritis and epilepsy, left hand swelling and left shoulder pain, lower limb pain, petechiae, toe bruises, swelling and pain.

Serious adverse events following the Moderna shot included suspected facial nerve palsy, cerebral apoplexy, central Retinal artery occlusion, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, upper mesenteric artery embolism, myocarditis or pericarditis, pneumonia, hepatitis, acute cholecystitis, polyneuropathy, herpes zoster, gastrointestinal bleeding, miscarriage, stillbirth, vaccination Redness, swelling, heat and pain, widespread bullous fixed drug rash, allergic reactions (general rash, urticaria), general malaise, unexplained changes in consciousness, fever, dizziness and breathlessness, left eye hemorrhage and Blurred vision, arrhythmia, hyponatremia, abdominal pain and bloating.

The CECC and medical experts insist that the link between the vaccines and sudden death is inconclusive.
