Man rescued after getting stuck hanging upside down from 4th floor window

A man in Keelung City was rescued by firefighters after his foot got stuck in a fourth floor apartment’s window bars, leaving him dangling precariously late last night, June 12.

Mr Wang, who is said to be in his 50s, and was reported to be very drunk, first drew the attention of police after neighbors reported a disturbance on the roof of a five storey residential building in Xinfeng Street at around 11:00 pm.

Police found that Mr Wang was attempting to climb over the balustrade in an attempt to reach his fifth floor apartment via a window below, as he had forgotten his apartment keys.

Police managed to dissuade Mr Wang, only to be called back around one hour later after reports that a man was dangling upside down from the window bars of an apartment on the fourth floor.

Police and firefighters responding to the report found that Mr Wang had dropped from the roof onto the awning of the fourth floor apartment, just below his fifth floor window.

However, Mr Wang’s left foot had broken through the perspex rain cover, and was stuck in the window bars, leaving Wang dangling upside down.

Yeah, he was “looped out” alright. Must’ve been happy smoke. Sure. (The cops arrest people for marijuana “offenses,” but RESCUE drunkards.)
