Lexus Breaks in Half in High-Speed Accident

A man is fighting for his life today after losing control of his vehicle at high speed in Puhsin Township, Changhua County. The vehicle broke in half after hitting a road sign.

Lin, 47 was driving his Lexus 430 at around 6:00am when the accident occurred on a bend on Chongcheng Road. A witness said he saw the car approaching the bend at high speed, and fearing for his life, dived into his house seconds before the crash.

Rescue workers cut Lin from the mangled wreck and rushed him to hospital suffering multiple fractures and head injuries. His injuries were described as life-threatening.

Police have ruled out drunk driving as a possible cause of the accident.
