Five athletes collapsed during the Taipei Marathon event this morning, and were rushed to hospital, at least three having lost vital signs, requiring Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The race started at Taipei City Hall at 6:30 am with the temperature at 13°C, and humidity at 62%. Paragliding accident leaves one man dead in Nantou County

Three paragliders from a group of four successfully made emergency landings after hitting turbulence while paragliding in Nantou County, Saturday, December 4, but one man crashed and died. According to a police report, the 48-year-old paraglider, named Wang, launched from Hutou Mountain in Puli Township at around 1:00 pm. Runners Go Bananas in Kaohsiung

Six thousand runners participated in the second annual Banana run – the Qishan Marathon, in Kaohsiung this morning, Sunday, January 7. Many runners wore yellow clothes, some sported yellow sneakers, and a few even donned banana suits for the event. The route for the run meandered through banana plantations and fields of soy bean.
