ATM cash stolen in armed robbery at Taoyuan City convenience store

An armed robber fired a shot into the ceiling of a 7-11 convenience store in Taoyuan City this morning, before pointing the gun at security guards replenishing the ATM machine, and demanding the cash.

According to Taoyuan City Police Department, a man armed with a pistol entered the convenience store on Zhongshan Road in Xinwu District at around 10:00 am this morning, Monday, October 25.

After firing the warning shot, and threatening the security guards, the man escaped with a total of NT$518,000 in cash.

Police have already found a vehicle suspected to have been used during the robbery, and are confident that they will soon identify and apprehend the suspect.
