4 Killed After Tour Bus Smashes into Car
Four occupants of a small sedan were killed after a tour bus smashed into the car on Freeway 3 in Kaohsiung this morning. Nobody on the tour bus was reported injured.
The accident happened at 8:42am in the southbound lanes at Yanchao Interchange.
Of the 4 people cut out of the mangled wreck of the car, 3 had no vital signs at the scene of the accident, and one later died at the hospital.
The driver of the car was a 71 year-old woman named Lin. The passengers were Lin’s 6 year-old grandson, the boy’s 40 year-old uncle, and a 69 year-old female friend of the driver.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident and said that the bus driver had blood alcohol level of zero.
