Construction Bureau orders Health Bureau to be Thrown into the Toilet

An official document issued to district offices by the Taichung Construction Bureau ordered that the Health Bureau is to be thrown directly into the toilet. The document caused a lot of laughter among staff in both departments. The order was meant to tell staff that from July 1, toilet paper is to be thrown directly into the toilet. A 51 year-old woman in Taichung fell from the third floor of a building and landed on a first floor awning. Her legs crashed through the awning, leaving her upper body resting on top. Up to ten air-force personnel at a base in Taichung have returned positive reactions for drugs, after urine tests were ordered for all troops stationed on base yesterday. The drug tests were ordered after 27 packs of white powder were found discarded on the Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, along with a device for smoking drugs. Eighteen Homes Destroyed in Blaze: 1 Dead

Eighteen homes were razed to the ground, November 21, in Taichung County’s Tanzi District, after a fire broke out on the second floor of one of the residences. Truck Explodes in Taichung

Updated 22:00 July 29 A moving truck, carrying live fish was destroyed when an 800 liter liquid oxygen cylinder, associated with the fish tank exploded. The accident happened at 6.30 AM this morning on a busy road in Taichung. The driver of the truck suffered 2nd degree burns to 20 percent of his body.
