Man Shot on the Street in Broad Daylight
A man riding a scooter was shot 3 times by another man on a motorcycle in Pingtung City at around noon today, November 14.
The 21 year-old victim named Lee (李) who suffered three bullet wounds to his right thigh and lower leg, fell off his scooter wailing in pain and calling for help as the assailant calmly rode away from the scene of the shooting on Zhonghua Road. A witness who rushed the the victim’s aid said the man cried out “Help me, I’m dying!”
Road Rage?
Media reports said that police suspected the shooting was the result of a traffic dispute.
Some witnesses said that the two men appeared to know each other and were riding together along the road chatting when they suddenly stopped and began to argue.
Police detectives recovered three spent bullet shells from the scene and are searching for a suspect described as around 50 years-old.
